Irritable Bowel Syndrome

IBS affects the digestive system. It is the name given to a condition to longstanding abdominal discomfort and bowel symptoms that cannot be explained by an other illness.

Some of my IBS symptoms include cramping, abdominal pain, gas, bloating, tiredness, nausea and chronic constipation/diarrhoea.

Stress and certain foods can triggers.

There is no known cause or cure for IBS but there are things that can help manage symptoms and give patients a better quality of life.
The Low FODMAP diet has also been developed to help people with their IBS.

As well as IBS I have gastrointestinal issues as a result of my HSD, dysautonmia, POTS and FND.

Some of my other distive issues include Gastrointestinal Dysmotility (whereby the gut doesn't move as well as it should) and Intestinal Permeability.
